Mongolia has shown courageous foresight in its economic and political development – considering its neighbors. Continuing to expect the U.S. to be everything to everybody (as ir largely has been since WW11) is no longer feasible. Other freedom loving nations will have to step forward.

That’s an interesting development, and one specifically aimed at China and the Mongolians caution not to put their country in financial or commodities hock to them. It will be interesting to note if other Asian neighbors follow suit. Certainly with Burma there was a serious backlash against perceived Chinese Imperialism that lead to the creation of a more democratic state. Even the Burmese generals baulked at the Chinese having too much influence. – CDE
